Junior Victorian Eagles
Great effort by the Junior Victorian Eagles!
The Junior Victorian Eagles finished in 5th place in the National Championships held at Greenway, Canberra.
The Eagles showed dogged determination against the strong Queensland Sun Devils in Game 1 going down in the last two minutes of play, finishing 22-18.
They then met a powerful combination in the Western Australian Raiders in Game 2 going down 31-12.
The Eagles then rallied in Game 3 with a solid win against the Canberra Monarchs finishing 20-6.
The Eagles will have life long memories of staying at the magnificent Australian Institute of Sport where the food was healthy and plentiful.
The Eagles Team was represented by Junior Miners as circled, Jordan Roberts (Punter, Tight End & Wide Receiver) and twins, Matt & William Blake (Line Backers).

Rawling Field Repair Works Approved
Well some overdue GOOD news. After a meeting with Casey Council last week, $10 000 has been allocated to carry out repair works on Rawling Field after the 2013 season finishes.
A big THANKS to our Casey Councillors and the Berwick Miners Committee for their on going negotiations and commitment to maintaining the viability of our great home ground in Rawling Field.

Gridiron Australia Junior Nationals Championships April 16-20
The 2013 Gridiron Australia Junior National Championships will be held at Greenway Stadium, South of Canberra from 16th to 20th April.
Greenway Stadium is located on Soward Way in Greenway, approximately 20kms to the South West of Canberra city center.
The players and coaches will be staying at AIS is located on Leverrier Crescent, about 15 minutes to the north of Canberra.
The Victorian Eagles Junior National Team comprises 28 players and 4 coaching staff lead by Head Coach Layke Rossiello.
Parents and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend the event and support the young Eagles as they compete for another Junior Australian Championship.
